Glassport is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. It is located in the western part of the state, and it is surrounded by Monongahela and Allegheny rivers which together form the Ohio River. Glassport is part of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area, with Pittsburgh located in the same county not too far away. According to the United States Census Bureau of 2000, Glassport had a population of approximately 5,000 people. The borough has a total area of 1.9 square miles of which, 1.7 square miles of it is land and 0.2 square miles of it is water.
